My name is Carl Harding. I am the creator of Harding Method Fitness, LLC. I was born and raised in London, England and have lived in the Bay Area of California for many years.

I've been a personal trainer for more than 10 years and I genuinely love what I do. I have a bachelor's degree in Sports Science and a master's degree in Sports and Exercise Psychology.

It has always been my dream to create a state-of-the-art gym that is welcoming to all—a place of fun, killer workouts for people of all fitness levels! My mantra is "just show up" (and I'll do the rest)."

Annie Butterfield
Trainer

Annie was born and raised in Oakland. She went to college in the South Bay, then moved to
Oregon and Hawaii, and is proud to call Oakland home again.

Annie initially took interest in strength training and fitness after securing her first office job and
beginning to experience stiffness and discomfort from a more sedentary lifestyle. After developing a routine and witnessing how greatly exercise had impacted her overall well-being, she decided to share her love of fitness with others and in 2012 she completed her first of many certificates. Since then, Annie has become a Personal Trainer and has nearly 10 years’ experience teaching group fitness classes in strength training, yoga, and high intensity interval training.

Annie’s well-rounded knowledge in many forms of exercise aides in her ability to develop results-driven workouts for clients from a variety of backgrounds and with a wide range of goals.

Ariel Krizack
Trainer

Ariel was born and raised in Berkeley, CA and spent her childhood dancing and doing gymnastics. She holds a B.A. in Performing Arts and Social Justice with a Dance concentration from the University of San Francisco and a M.Ed. in Community Arts from Lesley University. Strength training had become a hobby and a lifestyle while teaching dance and through a focused exercise routine she noticed an increase in overall strength, stamina, energy, performance, and mood.

Ariel is a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer and she loves using functional strength training to help others feel their very best in whatever activities they love to do. She enjoys using a variety of modalities to challenge the body in different ways and is big on core work, balance, and corrective exercise. Dance moves between squat sets encouraged! :)

I’m all about proper form and mobility. Without those, forget about lifting anything heavy!

I focus on developing a strong core, helping you increase your flexibility and mobility so daily tasks are a bit easier! Come get stronger and let’s build a solid foundation together.
